ZEDZの新作個展「TEMPO by ZEDZ」がお茶ノ水Cafe 104.5にて開催されます。今回の展示のための壁画と紙を用いた作品は、都市の空間的なレイヤーと時間的なリズムを捉えなおし、俯瞰的で建築的なグラフィックとして新たに描き出すものです。6月22日からの展示に先駆けて、ZEDZが制作を行っている当校の屋上においてアーティスト本人を交えたスペシャルプレビューを行います。
ZEDZ（ゼッツ）
1971年、オランダ、ライデン生まれ。14歳でグラフィティを始め、1992年リートフェルト・アカデミー入学を機にアムステルダムに活動拠点を移す。卒業後はアーティスト／グラフィックデザイナーとして活動を開始。3Dタイポグラフィーに特化した独自のグラフィティを追求する。そして、現在に至るまでグラフィティをバックグラウンドとした新たな表現を駆使し、ポスト・グラフィティシーンの第一人者として活躍している。世界中のストリートのみならずギャラリーや美術館で作品を発表し続けている。

“TEMPO by ZEDZ,” a new exhibition by ZEDZ at Cafe 104.5 in Ochanomizu, Tokyo, features his latest mural work and paper-cut pieces, both of which visually translate spatial layers and temporal rhythms of the city into bird’s eye architectural graphics.
Prior to the exhibition starting from 22 June, we hold a special preview of the main exhibit in the attendance of the artist, in his working space on the rooftop of Bigakko.

Zedz, The Netherlnds, 1971
After finishing highschool and making graffiti on the
streets for several years Zedz started to study at the
Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam. In 1998 he
graduated artschool and started working as an independent
artist/ designer. His work strongly relates to typography
while crossing over in to abstract and 3 dimensional objects.
